Our Services
General surgery is a speciality that requires a broad depth of knowledge throughout the surgery experience, including preoperative, operative and postoperative care. Our general surgeons can perform a broad spectrum of surgical procedures, including endoscopy, advanced laparoscopic, thoracic, endocrine, breast, colorectal, vascular, trauma, minimally invasive, bariatric and general surgery.
Our surgeons are on-call and work rotating shifts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Here at McMinnville Surgical Associates, we specialize in two main types of surgical procedures: Minimally Invasive Procedures and Bariatric Surgery.
Minimally Invasive Surgery
The term “minimally invasive surgery” includes a wide variety of types of procedures, and is also known as “endoscopic” or “laparoscopic” surgery. The procedures covered under this type of surgery generally have minimal scarring, pain and recovery time. Some of the common minimally invasive surgeries that we offer include:
- Alimentary Tract Surgery
- Bariatric surgery
- Breast, Skin and Soft Tissue Surgeries
- Colon and rectal surgery
- Endocrine System Surgeries
- Gallbladder surgery
- Stomach and abdominal surgery, including surgery for reflux/GERD
- Surgeries needed due to trauma
- Surgery for treatment of appendicitis and diverticulitis
- Surgery for treatment of breast cancer
Bariatric Surgery
Bariatric surgery is used to treat morbid obesity as well as obesity-related health problems. At Willamette Valley Weight Loss Center, a bariatric program of McMinnville Surgical Associates, our experts strive to provide an individualized care program for each of our patients, including comprehensive nutrition counseling with our dietitian as well as support from our behavioral health specialists. Our surgeon is intimately involved with each phase of the process, from the preoperative consultation to ongoing postoperative care.
